Now Republic Moldova is in the period of transition to market economy. The reforms lead last years, have caused achievement of the certain positive results, namely: creation bisector economy, thus the share of a private sector in creation of gross national product now exceeds 70 %; liberalization of the prices, creation of structures for functioning the market (commercial banks, stock exchanges of securities, free economic zones, etc.) . Economic reforms have got in Moldova support from the international financial and economic organizations.
Republic Moldova is the agrarian and industrial country. The share of agriculture and the industry in formation of an internal total product makes 37 %. 50,8 % of able-bodied population of the country are involved in an agriculture.
The industry is based basically on processing of agricultural raw material besides it is presented light, chemical, woodworking, the instrument-making industry.
There are natural gas, mineral oil, vehicles and the equipment prevail in import of Republic Moldova. Moldova imports the most part of the power resources. During current time in republic process of decentralization and privatization of a power complex is carried out. The republic Moldova enters in first ten countries of the world - large manufacturers of wine and grapes.
Wine-making production is exported to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, other countries of a post Soviet space, to Germany, the USA, Holland, China, South Korea, etc. About 15 % of the annual budget of republic replenishes due to incomes of wine growing. The total area of vineyards makes 107 thousand in hectares, from them 105 thousand in hectares 2 thousand in hectares - under young vineyards are borrowed under fructifying. |
